Like cosmos bipinnatus its flowers have yellow centers but its surrounding florets instead bloom in vibrant shades of yellow orange and red.
Sulphur cosmos are extremely easy to grow in any region and attract a variety of hummingbirds and butterflies to the garden. Although native to central america mexico and northern south america they have naturalized to many other parts of the world including asia australia europe and north and south america. The flowers of these often remind me of open style marigolds on larger plants.
